| This is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know exactly the "it" to which I may actually be referring, or the "this" to which I am ascribing the "it" of which I am uncertain....(this means that the only word that I am positive about is "is",which is hardly a sentance, but is rather more a state of being verb.... at least this means that whatever I am talking about exists...unless it does not, and in that case I am not that sure that I can even be positive about "is".) What a bummer!
I need a topic...I have needed a topic for a while (I couldn't imagine that many of you, save Christine, would want to hear how I love my fiance, and the other whatevers that I choose to talk about...therefore, I choose NOT to talk about!).
to this wonderfully useless and perplexing waste of time...

| Hey there!
I haven't posted in a while...so I will right now.
Biggest event in my life (excluding my salvation...that one is always a given) so far...I am engaged to the most amazing person ever. The date is likely going to be August 19th...But we aren't set on that. Needless to say I am excited, she doesn't seem too disapointed either!
My break hasn't really been that... this last week I've worked over 80 hours between my security job and the church. This has been common of the past couple weeks and seems to be next week's forecast as well. The checks will be nice...but the free time is missed. I have still had the opportunity to spend time with my fiancee, best friend, and little bro thanks to their visiting me at work. I love you guys!
I am looking forward to next semester...I have been enjoing Greek and anticipate the class next semester. I also get to take A couple classes with Dr. Morgan...this is a man that I truely respect.
I will try to make post a little long than the last few because it may very well be on here for a while so you can all read it in sections to get a little something new until I next post...if i next post....ummmm...yeah.
A couple of things that have really been on my mind lately...
the tsunami...well over 180,000 souls were lost...more will die due to disease and unclean water. Overall, the world wide response has been impressive. i see people bending over backwards to help those eastern countries damaged by this occurance... but why such a response now? We can understand tragedy a little better when we have the pictures painted for us in Time magazine and on the tube... seeing has provoked us to action. It troubles me though that the Christian body wouldn't have otherwise exhausted themselves to help those hurting. Tsunami or not, this month, just as months past, people would have died in a tragic way, without Christ...but we seem to be apathetic to tragedy we can't see so easily. Please don't get me wrong...I am thrilled that people still care. But I can't escape the thought of how great it would be if we cared more often. We can move in very powerful ways when we find reason too...this is clearly seen... but how is it that physical death takes priority faster than the need to minister in these places (or even to our neighbors for that matter), to preserve life now without ministry will only serve to postpone the inevitable. This isn't an attack at anybody...but rather a plea to understand the greater tragedy of indifference in light of lost souls and to have a real burden for the lost. We need to understand our responsibility and not let our self absorption, neglegance, or apathy get in the way of us fulfilling it.
well... i would just love to say more...but it is late and i doubt that I am communicating effectively anyway. I know that above I said "a couple things that have been on my mind" and then I gave the impression that I was gonna give you more than one...yeah, well...that didn't happen. I will say some more stuff later....but it is 4am and I am longing for my pillow.
pillow pillow pillow
